The Hammers captain was supporting his wife during their delayed Strictly trip
Dani Dyer’s appearance on Strictly Come Dancing has been postponed for a year due to injury. However, her husband – West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen – has been showing his support in a big way this autumn.
Dani broke her ankle while preparing to appear on the BBC show. That meant he had to drop out of the 2025 edition, but the Beeb kept a place for him this year.
The actress and TV personality collaborated with Nikita Kuzmin on the show that continued on Saturday. Her husband appeared in the audience, but that’s not the only way she’s showing her support.

Bowen and Dani married in May 2025, just after the end of the 2024/25 Premier League season. They have twin daughters, Summer and Star, and Dani also has a son, Santiago, from a previous relationship.
Santiago was spotted in the ballroom with Dani’s actor father and Hammers fan Danny. As she prepares to return to the ballroom on Saturday, the 30-year-old revealed Jarrod’s touching gesture to show his encouragement every week.
She shared a photo of a vase of flowers on her Instagram Story with the caption, “Another week. This is your week. I love you so much. JB.” “My flowers for the week, from the best husband I could ask for [face holding back tears and heart emojis].”
The West Ham star discussed Dani’s return to Strictly earlier this year. “For Dani, who broke her leg last year and was disappointed not to make it, it was great to see her get the opportunity again and just go out there and do her first dance last week,” she said.
“I think when you get your first game back from injury, you get nervous like anything when you go out there and do that, but you get over it and come out the other side and he’s done really well!
“It’s always something to watch in our house, especially on the weekends when it’s show time, and I watched Week 1 on TV with the kids. It’s been such a big show for Dani that everyone’s been watching it, and I called her right after the show and I was just like, ‘You did it!’ You do it! Wait!”
Bowen will also be busy on Saturday, when West Ham host Southampton in the Championship. He has already impressed against Tonda Eckert’s side this season, coming off the bench to score his side’s fourth goal in a 4-1 Carabao Cup win in August.
