Ahead of another Saturday race, the Weekend Winners team reconvene to discuss the best betting angles.
At the end of the show, the trio each put forward their best bets, with Declan Rix targeting Doncaster for his best fantasy.
Declan Rix…
“My YAP will come in the 2.05 Prospect Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday and this Hello Corbett Court For the team of Paddy Twomey and Billy Lee. I think he is in stronger form than the Bengal Tiger in the sale race where he is well attended. He has some class about him and significant knee action that will help him on Saturday.
“The long shot was trained by Kevin Phillipart de Foy at Doncaster. Sovereign Spell. If you go back and look at this horse’s form at Newmarket this season, he looks a good handicap. He is new and comes here after a break.”
Kate Tracey…
“My YAP Bengal tiger In the Listed Prospect Stakes and that is purely due to a lack of quality behind. Cheeks seem to have helped him and this is a good opportunity for him to win again.
“Next will be my best Katate Dori For Sam Thomas. He is confident and his trainer always starts the season well and today he is equipped with the lights for the first time. He is a good handicapper on last year’s form and I think he will do well.”
Sam Boswell…
“Burning The Future Trophy at Doncaster is YAP for me. I think the conditions will be right and he will handle the flatter road. He has good pace on paper and hopefully he can go well here.
“I’m going to a bumper race for my next best and that’s a jockey trained by Joe Tizzard. Thingman. His horses are flying at the minute, four winners at Ffos Las the other day. He won on soft ground in his first career start at Hereford and hopefully the test will suit him.”
