Jersey’s star batsman Asa Tribe returned to the island side, losing opener Harrison Carlyon for 4 for 18 off 19 balls.
The Glamorgan and England Lions player has not played for Jersey since last summer but has had a tough comeback.
He and Josh Lawrenson scored just 12 runs in the first six overs of their partnership before the Tribe finally went for 23 off 29 balls when he and Josh Lawrenson were bowled by Aue Oru in the first ball of the 13th over to leave Jersey at 58-2.
His brother replaced him and opener Lawrenson began a disciplined third-wicket partnership – Tribe reached his half-century off 58 balls, while Lawrenson’s 50 came off 74 balls.
Tribe brought up their century with a mammoth six in the 105th ball as he and Lawrenson put on a match-defining 165-run stand before Lawrenson was bowled by John Carrico for 72 off 95 balls.
Any limitations on Jersey’s batting were removed after Lawrence’s departure as big batsman Jonty Jenner replaced him and hit a 17-ball half-century as he finished with the Tribe for the fourth wicket with 113 runs off 23 balls, including nine sixes and two fours.
Tribe hit five sixes and 11 fours as he finished with 150 off 129 balls – his total bettered by brother Asa’s 175 in the win over Qatar last summer.
