The Denver Broncos needed a “get it right” type of game on offense and we got a win today against the Arizona Cardinals.
Bo Nix found his feet and found throws down the seam to put up nearly 400 yards in total offense. Nix was 15/29 for 222 yards and would complete one touchdown pass while adding four carries for 75 yards and another touchdown.

First quarter
Denver’s offense would start the day hot with the first play of the game being a 20-yard dart from Bo Nix to Courtland Sutton into Cardinals territory.
However, the offense will hibernate for the remainder of the quarter. They were aided by good field position to score two goals, but were again ineffective offensively to start the game despite a six-point lead overall.

Second quarter
The Broncos’ offensive woes continued into the second quarter, with the officiating coming to the Cardinals’ aid with one of the worst defensive pass interference calls ever to help Arizona get back into the game on back-to-back drives.
After closing things out, the Broncos offense needed a spark and a spark, which they got from Bo Nix. Sensing pressure, he jumped the middle of the line and found Cardinals defenders nowhere to be found en route to a 62-yard touchdown.
With the only touchdown of the game, the Broncos went into halftime with a 13-6 lead over the Cardinals.

Third quarter
The Broncos continued to make big plays to start the second half. The Cardinals threatened along the midfield line, but Denver’s defense held out, where Adam Prentice blocked the ensuing play to put Denver’s offense in good field position.
Two plays into it, Bo Nix hit a screen pass to RJ Harvey, who knifed through the Cardinals defense for a 52-yard touchdown catch and run to put the Broncos up by two touchdowns midway through the third quarter.
After giving up a touchdown rush, the Broncos’ offense must come back and try to get down by two scores. Jonah Coleman started things off nicely with a couple of solid runs to get the Broncos near midfield where the Ninx’s Marvin Mims Jr. would find the open field. Mims scampered 47 yards for first and goal.
JK Dobbins would cap the drive with a one-yard touchdown to put the Broncos back within two touchdowns late in the third quarter.

Fourth quarter
Despite a very early fourth quarter, the Cardinals went into desperation mode for a fourth and a very long time. The Broncos defense was there to shut them down and put the ball back in Denver’s hands.
Led by Jonah Coleman and JK Dobbins, the Broncos run game started to wake up, but so did the penalty issues. Dobbins had his 15-yard run ruined by an illegal shift penalty. The good news is that the Bo Nix “go right” game today hit a bullet over the middle of the field to Jaylen Waddle for a 27-yard gain.

The excitement was high on this drive and nothing could slow the Knicks down. On a designed layup, he found an open Courtland Sutton for another gain at the Cardinals 13-yard line. A penalty slowed them down again, and after returning those yards, they faced a third-and-ten, where Nix was immediately pressured and had to punt it to settle for a field goal and a 17-point lead midway through the fourth quarter.
Arizona put up some garbage time drives, but the clock kept ticking toward the Broncos’ win in Week 7, and the defense made the plays it needed to secure the win.
Broncos 30, Cardinals 16.
