The Cleveland Browns are becoming one of the most intriguing stories around the NFL, with only the 1-5 Tennessee Titans and a 5-2 start between them. Cleveland has a chance to maintain control of the AFC North and match last season’s winning streak, which is a huge testament to the work being done behind the scenes to turn this culture around.
Todd Monken, Deshaun Watson and all the young talent are making noise in this town, but they can’t take their foot off the gas pedal with the trap game coming up on Sunday. The Titans may look like an easy win, but Tennessee beat the Browns last year and came off a 26-point second half last week to come back and beat the Indianapolis Colts.
During the latest edition of Afternoon Drive on 92.3 The Fan, Nick Wilson touched on the upcoming game and stressed the importance of sacrificing the trap game.
“When you’re finally the favorite in a game, you’ve got to walk a little taller. Enjoy it. Act like the favorites. Act like you’re playing the Titans,” Wilson said.

It’s important to keep your heads up going into this game, but you could have said the same thing last year when these teams met. The Titans have put a lot of meat on the bone this year and could easily pick up a few more wins than they currently have.
Remarkably, this is the first time the Browns have won a game since a Wild Card loss to the Houston Texans in 2023-24. It doesn’t mean much, but it’s a sign that the tide is starting to turn a bit for this organization.
With the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints following the Titans game, the Browns better get used to the expectation of winning games, as all three of those upcoming games are winnable. This hot start gets less lucky as the week goes by and each win becomes less surprising. After already beating the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, it’s time to start taking this team seriously.
