“Tottenham” wants to transfer “Eintracht Frankfurt” star Younes Ebnoutalib.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Younes Ebnoutalib as Roberto De Zerbi looks to bolster their attacking options during the January transfer window.

According to Sky Germany, Spurs are among the main candidates to sign the German international, with Juventus also emerging as a serious option for the highly-rated forward.

Younes Ebnoutalib is of interest to Tottenham

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough campaign, establishing himself as one of the most exciting attacking talents in German football. He has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 10 appearances in all competitions this season and has attracted the attention of a number of European clubs.

His impressive performances were also recognized by Germany manager Jurgen Klopp, who was particularly impressed by his display and subsequently offered him an opportunity at international level.

Tottenham have been tracking Ebnoutalib for several months and his recent performances have fueled their desire to bring him to north London.

De Zerbi could certainly benefit from adding another centre-forward to their squad. Dominic Solanke and Omar Marmoush have struggled to provide consistent goals and the prolific young striker could improve the competition for places in the attacking department.

Ebnoutalib’s physicality, pace and finishing make him an attractive option, while his potential suggests he could become an important long-term investment.

Tottenham are making a £30m bid for Ebnoutalib

However, closing the deal won’t be easy. Juventus are also considered strong contenders for his signature, meaning Spurs could compete with the Italian giants.

Frankfurt is in a relatively strong negotiating position, securing its services until 2031. Discussions on improved terms have reportedly been halted following behind-the-scenes changes at the German club.

The Bundesliga outfit could command £20m-£30m for the striker, a significant return on their initial investment.

Tottenham could try to speed up negotiations in January rather than waiting until the summer, especially if Frankfurt are more receptive to offers.

As competition heats up, Spurs may have to act decisively to secure one of Europe’s most promising young strikers.
