The goalkeeper, who played for “Spurs” in the Champions League, is busy with a second profitable business venture.
The former Tottenham goalkeeper has taken a unique path since retiring after taking over a barber shop. Many top players turn to coaching or expertise after hanging up their boots, but not Michelle Worm.
The former Dutch stopper spent six years at Spurs, mostly as second-choice, before leaving the game in 2020. The 42-year-old has since moved into the business world, co-owning Masons hairdressers in his hometown of Utrecht.
They don’t just specialize in hair. Masons also has a sports bar and offers manicures for men. Vorm told the BBC: “It’s more than just a barber shop. We have a sports bar. You can get manicures.”
Its Instagram page markets itself as “The Ultimate and Comprehensive Barber Shop, Sports Bar and Manicure Experience.” It appears from the page that their clients include several Arsenal stars, including striker Victor Gokeres.
When asked which player’s hairstyle he most admires, Vorm chose his former Tottenham teammate. He said: “There are some great haircuts, but Toby Alderweireld is always good.”
Barbering isn’t Worm’s only business venture, as he’s also dabbled in the gem and jewelry business, working with soccer players in the process. He told Football.London in 2025: “I’m an investor in one of the biggest diamond companies in Europe, it’s called Gassan.
“We do a lot [footballers] In the Netherlands. [And] We supply many players of the Premier League with jewelry and watches.”

Vorm began his career at Utrecht in 2005, with an early loan spell at Den Bosch. He moved to Swansea City in 2011 and played nearly 100 games for the South Wales club.
He made his big move to Spurs in 2014 but failed to dislodge Hugo Lloris as a regular number one. Vorm had his moments in Spurs’ memorable run to the Champions League final in 2019, making several appearances against Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven.
Vorm left at the end of that season, only to return a few months later on a free following an injury to Lloris. He then retired at the end of the 2019/20 campaign aged 37.
Worm, who won 15 caps for the Netherlands and was part of the Dutch team that reached the finals of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, said: “I am grateful to have been able to play for all these clubs and I am proud to represent my country at international tournaments. I am extremely grateful to be a part of such history.”
