Roma set to target talent Kvenadze in January 2027 after comparisons with Kvara Tshelia

Roma have reportedly set their sights on Frosinone and Georgia international Giorgi Kvernadze, who is tipped to be the new Hvitsa Kvaratkhelia.

The 23-year-old can play on the left or right wing or as a center forward and was one of the key figures in the team’s promotion from Serie B last season.

He has also been in fine form so far this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in six games in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Kvenadze impressed with Frosinone

Kvernadze was purchased from Georgia’s Kolkheti Poti in 2023 for €900,000 and his value has soared in the transfer market, drawing comparisons to his compatriot and former Napoli star Kvaratskhelia.

That’s because Alessandro Ferrara worked at Frosinone until this summer and is now on the staff of director Tony D’Amico in Rome, so he already knows Kvernadze well.

Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s style of play also suits the Georgian well enough for Roma to make an offer in the January transfer window.
