Now Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Dyedu Massiah.
Tuesday brings news.
Talksport report that according to their information, Newcastle United are actively scouting the striker with a potential offer in the near future.
Dyeidu Massiah, who is represented by Golden Legacy Sports Agency, signed a contract with UAE First Division side Forte Virtus only in July this year.
However, the teenage forward quickly impressed, scoring four goals in his first five matches at his new club.
Dyeidu Massiah will turn 20 in January and a number of leading European clubs are monitoring his progress.
The competition for young talent has never been greater as clubs look to outpace their rivals and develop young and relatively inexperienced players to further develop their raw potential once signed.
Dyeidu Massiah fits Newcastle United’s business model of investing in up-and-coming young players, talksport reports.
These were the Newcastle United transfer window transfers in the summer of 2026
£24.6m Ewen Jaouen (aged 20 when signed)
£43m Bazumana Toure (18 years old)
£23 million Sean Steur (20 years old)
£35.5m Aladji Bamba (age 20)
£25.7m Lukas Hornicek (age 24)
£29.5m Amar Dedic (age 24)
£52m Nico Gonzalez (age 24)
£55m Matias Fernandez-Pardo (age 21)
£3 million Ousmane Diabaté (18 years old)
As you can see, five of NUFC’s nine summer signings were aged 20 or under as Ross Wilson implemented a very defined strategy of targeting young rookies from overseas leagues with potential to grow in terms of skill and value.
This continued for the younger ones who entered Newcastle United’s Academy, which was even more extensive in England and abroad.
