Australia’s star pace trio Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc will miss the upcoming white-ball series against England.
The veteran seamers played all three Tests in the recent 2-1 series loss to South Africa and have been rested for the three-match ODI series starting in Perth on November 13.
Cummins and Hazlewood have also been ruled out for the five-match T20 series starting on November 21, while the 36-year-old Starc has already retired from the format.
21-year-old fast bowler Mahli Beardman has been named in both squads and could make his international debut in ODIs, while uncapped wicketkeepers Sam Harper and Lachlan Shaw have been included in the T20s.
Alex Carey, Cooper Connolly, Cameron Green, Travis Bash, Josh Inglis and Matt Renshaw, who also played in the South Africa series, were included in the ODIs but were not included in the T20 squad.
Although Cummins, 33, remains officially the ODI captain, he has played just one 50-over fixture since November 2024 and his frequent deputy and T20 captain Mitchell Marsh will step in again for the longer format.
Regular white-ball seamer Nathan Ellis has only been included in the T20 squad after picking up a side strain in the September ODI tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe, while his counterpart Jack Edwards is named in both squads after making his debut on the tour.
All-rounder Liam Scott, who played one 50-over match against Bangladesh in June, is recalled to the ODI squad, while spinners Nikhil Chaudhary and Joel Davies, who made their only international T20 appearances on the same tour, are selected for the 20-over matches.
Top-order batsmen Jake Fraser-McGurk and Mitchell Owen were recalled to the T20 squads after missing the recent series, while middle-order finisher Tim David was selected only for the shorter format, despite returning to domestic 50-over cricket after four years.
