Ghana will reveal their group stage opponents for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations when the Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducts the tournament’s official draw.
The draw will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt at 16:00 (Cairo local time).
Ghana qualified after the Black Sharks beat arch-rivals Nigeria 10-7 on aggregate. The two teams played to a 3-3 draw in Nigeria before Ghana completed the tie with a 7-4 win in Keta.
The qualification gives Ghana the opportunity to return to the continental competition and face Africa’s leading beach soccer nations. The Black Sharks last appeared in the tournament in 2024 and are looking to return to the continental stage.
The eight teams that have qualified for the 2026 finals are Angola, Ghana, Malawi, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal and Uganda.
CAF’s draw procedures confirm that Senegal, the host country and champions, will automatically be placed in A1 position in Group A.
Mauritania, who finished second in the 2024 edition, will be assigned position B1 in Group B.
The other six qualified teams were divided into three pots based on CAF’s ranking from the last three editions of the competition.
The draw will begin with the 3rd basket before moving on to the 2nd and 1st baskets. The first team selected from the 3rd basket will be placed in position A4 in group A, and the second team participating in the draw will be placed in position B4 in group B.
The same seeding process will then be carried out for the 2nd and 1st baskets to determine the remaining group positions for the tournament.
