Ignazio Abate admitted that Torino’s 3-1 defeat against Como left him “a bit angry” after looking relatively comfortable.
The Granata were currently one of the teams in Serie A with three straight wins.
They also went 1-0 up here thanks to Che Adams’ goal on the counter-attack and were feeling relatively comfortable until Jacobo Ramon equalized in the 81st.St minute.
It led to a complete collapse in the closing stages as Nico Paz and Martin Baturina completed 3-1 for the visitors.
Abate was furious after the Torino defeat

“We were up against a big team, so we decided to sit deeper against them, but we didn’t suffer too much for most of the match and we had chances to go 2-0 up,” Abate told Sky Sport Italia.
“Against these sides, I think we need to control the ball better, otherwise we risk letting ourselves down with their quality.”
Torino fans have long protested, but they applauded the squad and their coach after the 3-1 home defeat.

“We tried to play our game, we couldn’t hurt the spirit of the boys. In the first 25 minutes, we showed a lot of quality, but when we go deep, it’s not easy to get out of that first press, so we have to be more brave in such situations,” Abate added.
“Unfortunately, the result was very difficult because we had more chances to score and the third goal made me a bit nervous.”

Toro turned a corner after the injury crisis subsided, allowing Nikola Vlasic to be used to support the two forwards, Adams and Giovanni Simeone.
“It’s the idea of us trying to be positive, control the ball, respect the opponents with humility and know when it’s time to defend.”
