Alvaro Arbeloa says Fulham are learning from their mistakes after a poor start to the season.
Fulham failed to win any of their opening six Premier League matches, although they did earn draws against Liverpool and Manchester United.
There were rumors of disharmony in the dressing room and there was even speculation that Arbeloa could quit as he was only appointed in the summer.
However, Fulham turned their form around with successive 1-0 wins over Hull City and Coventry City.
They lost by the same score to Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, but Arbeloa is confident his side have turned the corner.
“We’ve learned from our mistakes and we’re obviously a team in process,” the former Real Madrid boss told Sky Sports ahead of Fulham’s clash with Aston Villa on Saturday.
“We are improving, we are working hard and it is very important for us to be a very solid team.
“We’re not the best team in open games, we’re much better[off[controllingtheballthetransitionsWe’reamuchbetterteaminthisway[topakeçidlərənəzarətetməkBubaxımdanbizdahayaxşıkomandayıq[off[controllingtheballthetransitionsWe’reamuchbetterteaminthisway

“Of course, I have to adapt to my players – they are the most important thing. It’s not just about my opinion, it’s about them and their qualities, their talents.
“You can only control what you can control. That’s what you want to do. We can’t control what our opponents want to do, but we’ve learned and improved, we’re working on our mistakes.
“We can be aggressive when we press, but sometimes you have to go down or down the middle. Everything in the game has moments. At the end of the day, we have to be a complete team.
“Every process has some ups and downs. That’s normal, but we’re on the right track.”
Fulham are looking for three Premier League wins in a row for the first time since December 2025, the last time they did so without conceding a goal in April 2019.
They won their last game against Villa in the Premier League but have only recorded back-to-back wins against them once in the competition, winning both games in 2013-14.
