Nick Woltemade set up Juventus’ goal and equalized but John Lucumi’s late winner against Rennes was ruled out for offside. The draw in Turin took Spalletti’s side to seven in the Europa League league stage ahead of Sunday’s trip to Lecce.
Juventus defeated Rennes at the Allianz Stadium on October 22 by VAR decision. In the 90th minute, John Lukumi opened the door. Referee Morten Krogh examined the pitchside monitor and disallowed the goal for offside. The match lasted eight minutes and the match ended with a score of 2:2.
Nick Woltemade was central to both Juventus goals. Spalletti’s team is now settled with 7 points after three matches of the league stage. In the previous game, they lost to “Lazio” with a score of 0:3.
Rennes turned an early deficit into a half-time lead

In the 43rd minute, Boulaye Dia converted it into a goal, and the guests came to the break with a 1-2 lead. Çelik, who scored the goal of the game, left the field injured in the 45th minute. Woltemade’s penalty leveled the game, beating Juventus’ chances
The equalizer came from the spot. Reynolds separated his arm from his body to save Nico Gonzalez’s header and VAR upheld the award. Voltemade scored the penalty in the 67th minute. He finished with seven tackles and two key assists.
Juventus produced expected goals of 2.25 against 1.72 for Rennes. They also had 54% of the ball. Rennes had more shots, 16 to 14, and more shots on target, five to four.
