Chelsea have a new manager and a host of new players, but their problems still don’t seem to have changed.
They can score goals and their offense looks great and overwhelming at times. But they are still very fragile defensively and mentally.
Saturday’s game against Hull City should be a comfortable win, especially after they took the lead. But another defensive disaster cost them.
Joao Pedro frustrated by ‘tough game’ and dropped points

“We have to adapt quickly because we know how the Premier League is. If you drop points, it will be difficult to recover in the end. We need to adapt quickly because if you want to compete you have to improve on this,” striker Joao Pedro was quoted as saying. The club’s official website.
“We knew that if they were in front, they would sit back and wait for us to counterattack. It was a difficult game.
“Ultimately, we can get a point, but like I said, we need to improve and I think we will improve soon.”
It must have been particularly frustrating for Joao Pedro because he was giving it his all at the other end. He has just won the Premier League Player of the Month award for August for a superb start to the season and kicked off September with another goal in Saturday’s draw.
If his teammates can reach his level, Chelsea will truly be in contention at the top.
