USMNT-Haiti Nations League first match moved to Miami

The US Men’s National Team’s CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal series against Haiti has officially undergone a venue change.

CONCACAF announced on Thursday that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will face Haiti at Nu Stadium in Miami for the first leg on November 14. Kingston, Jamaica was originally scheduled to host the first game due to the ongoing security situation in Haiti.

The CONCACAF Council approved an exclusive hosting arrangement for the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), allowing them to play scheduled home matches in CONCACAF-sanctioned competitions in their opponents’ territory, rather than being limited to the Caribbean region as required under current rules.

The start time for the first game will remain the same at 4:30 PM ET. No changes have been made to the second leg at Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium on November 17.

The USMNT has a 9-6-9 record against Haiti in all competitions, most recently beating them 2-1 at the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Haiti’s last victory over the Americans was back in 1973.

The meetings in November will be the first game between the two countries in the League of Nations.

Haiti won three of their four group stage games in the September-October window, defeating Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. Their only defeat came against Costa Rica after already qualifying for the quarter finals.

The USMNT will look to advance to the March Final Four after finishing fourth in the 2024-25 Nations League, losing to Panama and Canada respectively in the Final Four.

Pochettino’s side are coming off a four-match window in which they beat Chile, Peru, Mexico and Canada 12-3.
