Firstly, I understand that the Catalan giants are under pressure to make some sales this January. As I previously reported, intermediaries were looking for potential suitors for both Alejandro Balde and Frenkie de Jong, but that’s not all.

We can add Jules Kounde to that list. I was previously informed that Chelsea were very interested in the Frenchman, but this did not lead to anything concrete in the summer.
It’s possible the Blues looked into it but decided to focus on other options. I also understand that the main factor to remember here is that Kounde, like Balde, does not want to leave Barça. It is on the club’s side that some cuts need to be made and they are willing to let someone like Kounde go for the right price.
