Wolves beat West Brom 1-0 in the Championship on Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was electric on the touchline at the end of the game.
West Brom kept Wolves at bay in the first half with some incredible saves, thanks to Max O’Leary.
However, Wolves held on for victory as Phil Lopez latched on to Nat Phillips’ error in a 50th-minute back pass, moving them up to fourth in the table.
West Brom is currently ranked fifth, with both sides tied on 14 points. Wolves have played 7 games and West Brom has played 8 games before the international break.

Kieran Trippier said: “It’s been fantastic, you know, the build-up to the game, you know, John Rudy said before the game how important it was. I’ve played a lot of derbies in my career but this is definitely part of it.”
First half: “Oh, of course, in any derby, especially when you’re playing at home, the key is to take the initiative and be more aggressive.
“For the goalkeeper, they made some really good saves and were disappointed with the score at half-time 0-0, but you know, keep your head on the ground and keep 11 players on the field and that’s why Fell is a top player and sometimes you need a little bit of magic and that’s why he scored.”
Lopez said: “It was very special. I knew the importance of this game, what T said, all the game preparation, all the fans and everything. So we knew from the beginning that we had to be in front. I thought we did a good job.
“Like Tripp said, we were a little bit disappointed with the clean sheet because we had a lot of chances, including me. But we knew if we kept pressing and creating chances we were going to score. So very happy, very happy to play with him.”
Interviewer: “After playing so well in the first half and you getting these chances, were you concerned that it might not come?”
Fair: “No. No, I’m not. I don’t know about the fans, but I don’t, because I know if we keep going like this, we’re going to win the game because the only time they went over the midfield line in the first half was when we fouled and they crossed. So, I think we’re pretty good and I think the results showed it to us.”
Interviewer: “Kieran, getting this win before the international break really gives you a lot of confidence. You can be happy with what you’ve done so far.”
Trippier: “Yes, it’s always important to win before any international break because it’s a long game. It’s three weeks of competition, especially a derby, and you don’t want to end up losing on an international break. But, you know, the lads deserve credit. We stayed together, kept a clean sheet and took three points to set the stage for the international break.”
