The ScottishPower Scottish Women’s Football Awards 2026 shortlist has been announced

Women’s footballers across Scotland find out their nominations for the award today as the shortlist for the 2026 ScottishPower Scottish Women’s Football Awards is revealed.

An all-female panel of judges will now deliberate on the winners, who will be announced in front of a star-studded audience at Barclays Hampden Park on the 28th.c november

As the most prominent annual celebration of women’s football at all levels in Scotland, the awards celebrate success both on and off the pitch, from international stars and SWPL winners to local volunteers who give up time to give women and girls the chance to play the game they love.

Hearts’ historic title win sees former manager Eva Olid nominated for ScottishPower SWPL coach of the year, alongside Rangers boss Lianne Crichton, Hibs boss Joelle Murray and Spartans coach Jack Beesley.

Grampian Ladies manager Lauren Boylan, Edinburgh Caledonian secretary Kim Dallas, Rossvale organizer Sharon Hill and Fort William secretary Greg Riddle were named volunteer of the year on Sunday.

Barclays Championship winners Renfrew Ladies are represented by Falkirk captain Anna Murray, Bonnyrigg Rose forward Khya McGurk and former midfielder Nicole Haggerty, who will battle it out for the player of the year award with Stenhousemuir winger Kyla Thomson.

For the second year running, the Scottish FA Women’s Football Referee of the Year award will be presented, and for the first time, the Women’s Walking Football Team of the Year award will be presented to a club that exemplifies the welcoming and inclusive spirit of Walking Football both off and on the pitch.

The Scottish Football Hall of Fame will present a special women’s football night to honor someone who has played a huge role in the development of the women’s game in Scotland.

Aileen Campbell, CEO of Scottish Women’s Football, commented: “Our awards are a fantastic way to draw attention to the many stories of dedication, courage and sporting success. As always, it’s exciting to unveil the shortlist, which once again highlights that these stories are happening across Scotland.

“Big credit to our Major Partner ScottishPower for once again supporting the awards, and to our media partner the Sunday Post for giving these women the coverage they deserve. I can’t wait to celebrate all the shortlists at Hampden next month.”

Matt Ramsay, CEO of Walking Football Scotland, said: “I’m delighted that at the ScottishPower SWF Awards we can celebrate the Walking Football ethos by highlighting positive team culture, unity, progress and teams making a wider contribution to their communities. All four teams are already winners in my eyes.”

Tickets for the event include a 3-course meal and entertainment and are available through Scottish Women’s Football in the fanbase.
