Practice squads rarely attract attention, but they are constantly changing throughout the season. Teams use those spots to cover injuries, bring in fresh bodies for scout-team work, and keep insurance nearby in case they need it on game day. A busy Tuesday on the transaction wire usually says something about where a team feels. The Browns had one of those Wednesdays as they prepared for the Tennessee Titans.
Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot shared that the Browns made 6 line moves.
“#Browns signed T Andrew Coker, P Wes Pahl and S John Saunders to practice squad. They released TE Devin Culp and DT Chris Williams from practice squad and placed WR Bub Means (knee) on practice squad/injured.”

The most notable addition is a punter. Wes Pahl spent 3 seasons at Oklahoma State after starting his career at Western Kentucky and led the Big 12 in 2025 with 64 punts, 2,975 yards and a 46.5-yard average. It’s unclear if the move is related to any concerns with Corey Bojorquez, who manages each player or Andres. Pahl is just a development option.
Andrew Coker adds dimension to the offensive line. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound tackle played at TCU, where he joined a group that allowed 13 sacks in its last 2 games. Coker comes a week after the Browns signed guard Vershon Lee, a sign that the front office is looking for depth up front.
John Saunders gives another body to the secondary. It came after Ole Miss product Grant Delpit left Sunday’s win over the Baltimore Ravens with a concussion, and depth behind Delpit and rookie Emmanuel McNeil-Warren could be needed over the next few weeks.
Departures are also worth mentioning. Chris Williams has been promoted from the practice squad for each of the last 2 games, depleted the interior of the defensive line, recording a tackle and a quarterback sack against Baltimore. Players can only move up 3 times a season before a team signs them, and his release could indicate that the Browns will soon be back, expecting more help, including Mason Graham.
Devin Culp is only one week into his signing. The former Washington, 2024 7th round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has 6 career catches for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Bub Means dropped to practice squad/injured with knee problem. The 6-foot-2 receiver was a 2024 fifth-round pick of the New Orleans Saints and caught 9 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown as a junior.
None of these moves will change the outlook for Sunday, but they show how hard the Browns are working to maintain a thin roster. At 4-2 and atop the AFC North, every bit of depth matters, and Andrew Berry clearly isn’t waiting until the trade deadline to start making adjustments.
