Juventus have confirmed Francisco Conceicao picked up a shoulder problem against Lazio, with local reports suggesting the winger could be out for around a month.
The club’s diagnosis, reported by Portuguese publication Observador from Juventus’ medical update, came after tests carried out following the injury on Sunday 18 October. Juventus said Conceicao had begun rehabilitation but did not give a return date.
The diagnosis was confirmed after the Lazio game
On October 19, ANSA reported that Conceicao had to undergo special tests at J Medical and could be out for a month if the tests confirmed the dislocation. The Observer’s club update report later described the injury as a glenohumeral dislocation pending J Medical examinations.
The distinction is important for the schedule: the roughly one-month estimate comes from local media reports, not Juventus’ announced recovery date. Observador also reported that the club did not reveal the expected duration of his absence.
A potential selection failure for Juventus
Conceicao’s injury came during the 3-0 defeat to Lazio, leaving Juventus to assess their options on the wing while he begins his rehabilitation. The month-long suspension will keep the Portugal international out of selection for important matches, although the club has not confirmed the duration.
The setback puts fresh focus on the attacking contribution Juventus have lost in Conceicao’s absence. His goals and assists were part of his contribution in Turin and the injury adds to selection concerns after a difficult result with Lazio. He also drew attention with his activities in the club Concepcion’s role at Juventus discussed in the latest news.
For now, the rehabilitation of the Council continues. Juventus have yet to publish a target date for his return, with a month-long estimate remaining the time frame reported by local media.
