Reports on Wednesday claim that Inter are interested in a future deal for VfB Stuttgart and Germany U21s defender Finn Jeltsch, but the Neradzurri will face stiff competition from a number of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona.
Report: Inter VfB Stuttgart want talent Jeltsch
According to Calciomercato.com, “Inter” sent scouts to monitor the 20-year-old Jeltsch several times over the past year. The Nerazzurri have also repeatedly spoken to the defender’s agents and representatives.

Jeltsch plays at centre-back in a back four for Stuttgart, but Inter believe he would be equally capable in the middle or on the right side of Cristian Chivu’s back three.
It is reported that the youngster earns 1.3 million euros per season at Stuttgart and offering to increase these figures will not be a major problem for the Nerazzurri.
More problematic is the price tag that Stuttgart will try to sell the young defender, which will be around €40 million.

Moreover, several other top European sides are said to be interested in Jeltsch, including Barcelona. Spanish publication “Sport” reports that Jeltsch is Hansi Flick’s first choice if “Barca” will bring a new defender in the near future.
Inter hope to have an opportunity to discuss a potential deal for Jeltsch when they host VfB Stuttgart at the San Siro in the Champions League on November 25.
