All statistics refer to regular season games except where noted.
PLAYER STATISTICS
-Ashley Sanchez remains at 20 goals and equals the single-season league record first set in 2024 by Temwa Chawinga. Meanwhile, Barbra Banda scored for the Pride and is up to 17 goals.
-Kaleigh Kurtz has now played 141 consecutive regular season games and 12,652 consecutive minutes. Both are league records. The streak began on June 26, 2021, playing for the Courage. (The unrounded figure is due to a rain-shortened match in 2023.)
-One player, Naomi Eto, made her NWSL debut over the weekend. The Cameroonian replaced Ayo Oke in the 88th minute of Summit’s win in Chicago.
-The 10/10 watch continues as Trinity Rodman and Pietra Tordin come close to becoming the first players to score 10 goals and 10 assists in the same season. Rodman assisted on a goal for Sofia Cantore and now has 11G/8A. She is the closest for the Royals along with Cloe Lacasse, who is not on the scoresheet and remains at 8G/10A. Tordin scored for the Thorns and is 8G/9A.
-With the 27th game played for the first time on the weekend, some league records are falling. Nine players played all 2,430 minutes on offer, breaking the previous record of 2,340. Six of this season’s Ironwomen are field players – Kurtz, Del Dava, Jessie Fleming, Kennedy Fuller, Tara Rudd and Ryan Williams. The other three are goalkeepers – Angelina Anderson, Sandy MacIver and Kailen Sheridan. 13 more players appeared in 27 games, in total 42 players appeared in 27 games.
-Ally Sentnor is an outsider. When Sentnor was traded from Current to Angel City, he had a match on his new side. Sentnor did not miss a start for either team and played and started 28 games. If he stars in the final three, he’ll have the statistical anomaly of 31 games in a 30-game season. Sentnor doesn’t have enough minutes to break the 2,700 new full-season ironwoman mark.
TEAM STATISTICS
-Kate Del Fava remains a perfect one-minute hitter for the Royals, hitting 7,110 in all 79 games since the team’s inception in 2024. Those are the longest streaks since the start of any expansion team.
–The Wave qualified for the playoffs, joining Gotham with official dance invites. This will be the Wave’s 4th playoff appearance in the club’s 5 seasons and 2nd in a row.
– The Dash are officially eliminated from the playoffs. This is the 11th time in 12 seasons in the NWS that the Dash will make the playoffs. It will be their 4th consecutive miss since their lone appearance in 2022. The Stars, Bay FC, Louisville and Legacy have already been eliminated.
– The Pride lost their 100th regular season game over the weekend. They did it in their 139th game and have a record of 90-100-49. The team that beat them the most was the first betting team on the Thorns, where the Pride went 5-16-2.
-Racing Louisville pulled the Royals in 6 to snap their team-record losing streak. Unfortunately, they conceded a stoppage-time goal that cost them victory and means that 27 games into the season, Racing have not kept a clean sheet. They also broke their streak for consecutive minutes without a goal with 295 – surpassing the 2023 streak by one minute.
