Moises Caicedo believes everyone at Chelsea is on the same page about the side’s shortcomings after Saturday night’s 2-0 defeat against Tottenham.
An own goal from Mike Penders and a long-range strike from Matys Tel saw the Blues suffer their first Premier League home defeat to Spurs in more than eight years.
Cole Palmer was shown a red card between the two goals to add to the misery on an evening Chelsea will soon want to forget.

Caicedo, handed the captain’s armband in the absence of Reece James, lamented the Blues’ failure to maintain focus throughout the game, which saw the hosts punished in west London.
“We have to stay focused the whole game because if you’re off for a second, you’re penalized,” Caicedo said.
“We have to learn from that because we have to stop that happening and keep a clean sheet for the whole game.
“It was difficult but we have to keep going because we have more games ahead of us and we want to do better.”
He added: “Everyone knows what we need to improve on. We will think about this game because we need to be at the top of the table.
“We have to learn from this and we will definitely be there [at the end of the season].”
There have been plenty of encouraging signs in the early days of Xabi Alonso’s Stamford Bridge reign – particularly from an attacking perspective.
Chelsea supporters will have been hoping their side could turn a corner by keeping their first clean sheet in nine months against Everton at the weekend, but the Blues’ defensive woes were on display again in the defeat to Tottenham.
“Chelsea” was also very passive against “Spurs”. The side, who entered the game in the drop points, arrived at Stamford Bridge with a hostile atmosphere, but Roberto De Zerbi’s side allowed themselves to dominate the ball.
The Blues looked to hurt Tottenham in transition, but those moments rarely came. Spurs could easily play with the home team at times and it was good value for their once-in-a-blue-moon victory in Chelsea’s backyard.
Chelsea don’t have much time to lick their wounds as they travel to Anfield this week in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. Incidentally, this will be Alonso’s third visit to his former home of Liverpool as a manager, but his first as Chelsea manager, with the Spaniard losing both of his visits to date.
