Inter are ahead of Milan in the race for Paulo Mendy, with the Cagliari striker attracting interest from both sides at City.
According to La Repubblica, via Calciomercato.it, The new Inter Milan sporting director Dario Bachin has observed the attacker born in 2007 many times and gave the green light to a possible transfer.

Milan are still focused but haven’t reached Inter’s base yet, and as things stand, the Nerazzurri are in the lead. There have been no reports of any agreement with Cagliari.
Mendy is the latest to emerge from Cagliari’s squad and has made an excellent start to the season, with Alessandro Romano and Daniele Maldini both attracting attention. Romano has made his Italy debut and is being tracked by Juventus as part of their new scouting approach, while Maldini is one of the nominees for September’s Player of the Month.
For Inter, this fits a model of bringing in young Serie A talent early rather than competing at the top of the market. Whether Cagliari are willing to sell in January, as the club continues to climb the table, is another question entirely.
