Bayern Munich could be one to watch over the long-term future of Brighton centre-back Luka Vuskovic, it has been reported.
It’s clearly someone Bayern have known for some time with the talented young defender, according to German football expert Christian Falk in the latest edition of his CF Bayern Insider column.
Vuskovic impressed during his Bundesliga loan spell with Hamburg last season and his fine form looked set to earn him a place in Tottenham’s squad this term.
However, Spurs made a surprise decision to sell the Croatian international to Brighton, where he has continued to impress with interest from bigger clubs.
Bayern are among those interested in Vuskovic and Falk seems to expect it to become a topic at some point, if not immediately.

“It’s true: Bayern Munich is among the clubs that stand out Luka Vushkovic’s development at Brighton,” said Falk.
“Both sides have a history; Vuskovic was offered to Bayern Munich before he made the move to the Premier League. At the time, Bayern had neither the space nor the money to make a serious push for the Croatian.
“Of course, he’s young and has plenty of time to develop, so it’s only natural that he’s still on the list. As I said, in almost every column, if they sell Min-jae Kim or Hiroki Ito, there will be room and money to buy a new defender. In that scenario, Luka Vuskovic is an absolutely interesting player in Bayern Munich’s squad. Bundesliga, during an impressive loan spell with Hamburg.
“The player is also interested in playing for Bayern. So that’s a good sign from both sides for potential future talks. But Bayern are not in a position to make an offer at the moment. However, they are keeping the centre-back on the shortlist and continuing to monitor his development.”
