Table-toppers Manchester City travel to Anfield for their first game since being found guilty by an independent commission of all serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules between 2009/10 and 2017/18. The city continues to deny the charges and filed an appeal of the commission’s ruling last Thursday.
Enzo Maresca’s side have made a 100 per cent start to the new season, winning all five of their top-flight games to stay three points behind last season’s champions Arsenal going into the weekend.
“Liverpool” is in the 6th place in the Premier League table, 6 points behind “City”.
Andoni Iraola’s side are also unbeaten in the league so far this season, winning two of their first five games under the Spaniard’s management and drawing three.
Super Sunday coverage from Anfield will begin at 1pm before Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest and Hull v Everton, followed by a 4pm kick-off.
