Liverpool flop Chiesa set to become Inter Milan target if Roma snap up Luis Enrique in August 2026

Fabrizio Romano claims Inter Milan are ready to swoop for Liverpool outcast Federico Chiesa in the summer if Roma buy Luis Enrique.

It’s not the first time the idea has been mooted, but now that the transfer window has closed, talks are reportedly progressing much further than previously thought.

Inter Milan ready with Chiesa proposal

Chiesa has so far been adamant that he does not want to leave Liverpool, although he has struggled to get game time since arriving from Juventus in 2024.

The Italy international has not even been named in the Champions League squad and a January exit remains a real possibility if he eventually relents and accepts a move.

According to Romano, via TuttomercatowebInter Milan have set their sights on the 28-year-old as a cheap alternative to Luis Enrique’s move to Roma.

But that never materialized, so the Brazilian stayed, just one year after his €22.8 million plus bonus move from Olympique de Marseille.
