Josh Allen’s touchdown run is one of the NFL’s best plays of the year

When an NFL player like Josh Allen makes an amazing individual play, there’s a three-word phrase that sometimes goes down the social media charts.

“That crazy man.”

It follows from the fgact that there are plays that NFL quarterbacks sometimes make during a game that is borderline impossible. That leaves opposing quarterbacks, defensive coordinators and fans wondering what it will take to slow them down on any given Sunday.

From Allen himself against the Las Vegas Raiders:

With the Bills facing a 3rd and 8 situation in the red zone, Allen goes shotgun and drops into the pocket about ten yards behind the line of scrimmage. Although the Raiders only rush four times, the pocket eventually breaks down due to tight coverage, forcing Allen into scramble mode.

After eluding a pair of defenders, he somehow turns the ball forward — from the 14-yard line — to Keon Coleman a few yards deep in the end zone.

That’s right, a backside touchdown pass that covered about 20 yards in the air.
