John Terry predicts who will win the Premier League title between Man City and Arsenal

Former Chelsea captain John Terry does not believe Manchester City will still be top of the Premier League table at the end of the season.

Enzo Maresca’s team won 5 of the first 5 games and entered the international break on the 1st place.

However, despite a comprehensive loss to Brighton in their last match, Terry is backing the current hosts to go top. title race:

“Unfortunately [from a Chelsea perspective]it will be Arsenal.”

Who is the current Premier League winner?

If you go by Opta’s figures, Arsenal are narrow favourites, with the Gunners given a 44.17% chance of securing back-to-back titles.

However, recent results have narrowed the gap between the London club and City. Maresca’s team is given a 39.89% chance in Game Week 6.

There isn’t much between the two sides at the moment, although we are still early in the season and the upcoming matches will give us a better picture of who could take the top spot.

Who will City and Arsenal play after the international break?

Maresca’s men have a tough trip to Anfield ahead of a friendlier home game against newly promoted Ipswich Town next Sunday. They will also face Aston Villa (a), Brighton (h) and Nottingham Forest (a) before the next round of internationals in November.

Arsenal’s schedule is probably just as tough. Mikel Arteta’s side face Leeds at home next Saturday before matches against the likes of Nottingham Forest (a), Everton (h), Liverpool (a) and Hull City (h).

The two teams will meet for the first time in late November when the Cityzens travel to the Emirates to play the reigning champions.
