Hearts of Midlothian will be without Calvin Miller for two months after the winger picked up a knee injury. Defeat in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final on Sunday by Hibernian.
Tomas Magnusson will also be out after the international break after the midfielder picked up concussion in the first half at Hampden Park.
It adds to Hearts’ already long injury list, with manager Wouter Vrancken taking just 19 players – six short of the normal maximum squad size of 25 – to Switzerland for Thursday’s Conference League clash with Thun.
The absence of Miller and Magnusson means the Edinburgh side are without 10 first-team players through injury.
Hearts took an early lead at Hampden but Magnusson was sent off after just 14 minutes.
Miller, who opened the scoring for Claudio Braga, himself went to the dressing room in the 37th minute, shortly after Hibs went 2-1 up.
Before his injury, the 28-year-old had been tipped by some as a possible inclusion in the final Scotland squad announced by Vranken’s Belgian counterpart Sebastien Pocognoli, after fellow winger Josh McPake and striker James Wilson were called up last month.
