Former “Manchester City” defender Micah Richards commented on his old club’s big win away to “Liverpool”.
Goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Ryan Cherki earned Man City an impressive 3-0 win at Anfield in the first game since the big news of the international break involving 115 charges.
An independent panel found City guilty of the vast majority of those charges, and although the club appealed the decision, it appears to be too severe for the Premier League giants.
However, Richards felt that a response like today’s performance was always going to happen as all the criticism fired City’s players.
Micah Richards on Manchester City’s win at Liverpool
“It’s difficult because when you’re in the dressing room and the outside noise makes you stronger,” Richards said during his pundit duties on Sky Sports, according to BBC Sport.
“It’s us against the world. The performance was always going to happen.”
There’s probably a lot of truth in that, but at the same time, it seems a bit quiet from Richards given how serious the allegations against MCFC are.

City played well today and it was good value for their win, but every win and every performance will have big question marks because we know how the club bought their success.
