Atletico Madrid prepare to face Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday, October 13. Ahead of the clash, Diego Simeone spoke about Ademola Lookman’s form. So far this season, Lookman has made nine appearances and scored one goal. “Every player goes through different periods. No one maintains the same level, but he always works as he wants. He is a dribbler and Baena, after a difficult season, has confidence and self-belief and we have to make the most of that,” said Lookman.
Diego Simeone defends Ademola Lookman in press conference:
“Every player goes through different periods. Nobody maintains the same level all the time. Lookman is not at the level he wants or we want, but he works hard every day. He is a dribbler and sometimes he needs to lose the ball. Baena has confidence and self-belief after a difficult season and we have to make the most of that.” Atlético Universe (@atletiuniverse) October 12, 2026
