Conceicao received a red card for double yellow moments before being substituted
Conceicao started in Portugal’s 2-1 win against Norway in Porto on Sunday evening, helping his nation to their fourth win in as many matches at the start of the 2026-27 Nations League campaign.

However, just before the substitution, Conceicao went down in the box under a challenge from Genoa centre-back Leo Ostigard and went down clutching the back of his leg.
He was shown a yellow card for protesting Italian referee Maurizio Mariani, who almost immediately showed a second yellow card after Conceicao gave the referee a mocking thumbs up.

Conceicao was shown his second yellow card as he headed for the line to allow substitute Neto to come on. The Chelsea player was forced to return to the bench for the rest of the game.
The Bianconeri winger will now be suspended for Portugal’s Nations League match at home to Denmark on November 14.
