Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa has returned to his club and will not feature for the Three Lions against the Czech Republic in the Nations League on Tuesday after struggling in the 7-0 demolition of Croatia.
England manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Ezri Konsa has returned to Arsenal for treatment on two separate fitness issues, although he revealed that he does not expect either to be anything “major”.
Konsa featured for the Three Lions on Saturday in their 7-0 thrashing of Croatia in Rijeka after earlier missing out on a 2-0 win over 10-man Czech Republic in Prague.
Tuchel explained during a press conference at Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training complex after losing midfielder Alex Scott to a quad injury: “We’ll get updates throughout the day but it looks like everyone is ready.
“The story is two different stories, Ezri felt uneasy when he arrived in the camp, he played with discomfort against Spain and he got a little worse.

“He stayed in the camp and tried everything for the Czech match, which is coming up very quickly, and we tried everything for the Croatia match and got the green light.
“He finished all the training sessions in between and was ready to play, but unfortunately he took another knock on his quad which caused a bit of a minor injury and we decided not to let him play again with that pain and discomfort.
“He’s now out of camp to get treatment for both of his problems, but I don’t think it’s anything serious, but it’s not worth the risk.
“We were pleased with the attitude he showed to stay in the camp and be ready for Croatia and have a good match, but unfortunately he got another one in the match. But not from a knock or a muscle injury or anything.”
Konsa took part in a recovery pilates session in London with his teammates on Sunday before being released from camp.
Arsenal return to the Premier League action at lunchtime at home to Leeds United on Saturday and Konsa is seemingly racing against the clock to prove his fitness.
The former Aston Villa centre-back filled in for William Saliba, who was absent for the first few weeks of his Arsenal career as the Frenchman recovered from a back problem.
The good news for Mikel Arteta is that both Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera are on the comeback trail and looking to return after the break.
White has been out for Sunderland since picking up a groin problem and could play at centre-back if required alongside Jurrien Timber.
In addition, Mosquera stepped up his training at former club Valencia during the international break as he looks to return from injury in the 1-0 win at Aston Villa on 31 August.
