Aston Villa were highlighted when they agreed to sign Chelsea’s Alejandro Garnacho on a season-long loan deal in July football.london the move will — if all goes well — become permanent next summer.
Sources close to the talks declined to say what the terms of the commitment were, but described them as “direct”. Usually with conditional commitments, the conditions are related to the number of minutes a player, in this case Garnacho, has completed on the field.
Unai Emery recently hinted that the Argentine winger will be at Villa Park for the long haul and has therefore been patient and reluctant to move him in the early parts of the campaign.

Emery may be tempted to use the Chelsea loanee more regularly after the international break following the winger’s promising performance in Villa’s friendly win over Sevilla on Friday.
The 22-year-old scored for Villa in the Antonio Puerta Trophy win at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. Isaac Romero opened the scoring in “Seville”, and Ross Barkley equalized for Emery’s team.
Garnacho put Villa ahead before Max Jenner added the third of the match. Garnacho took to his Instagram story to express his joy. He wrote next to a photo of himself in action: “2 tests, 2 goals. Now ready!”
Chelsea wanted to sell Garnacho in the summer transfer window, but a deal to send the Argentine permanently has proved elusive. In the end, the Blues agreed a conditional commitment which they believe should see the winger off their books next summer for a fee of £42.5m.
Last season, in Garnacho’s debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, the former Manchester United winger was limited to just 14 Premier League appearances. In total, he played only 24 games for Chelsea and it was clear that he would be transferred in the summer.
Garnacho will be hoping he does a little better to get a win over Emery when Villa host Brentford next weekend. After that, it’s Fenerbahce at Villa Park before the trip to Newcastle United to round off a busy week for Garnacho and his teammates.
