Ed Sheeran becomes Barcelona El Clásico shirt sponsor

Barcelona will switch their regular sponsor to Ed Sheeran when they face Real Madrid in El Clasico next month, continuing their tradition of having the music icon on their shirts through a partnership with Spotify.

Spotify, which holds the naming rights to the Camp Nou, has previously replaced sponsor logos for Barcelona’s biggest game with those of Drake, Rosalía, the Rolling Stones, Karol G, Coldplay and Travis Scott.

Sheeran will join that list when Barcelona travel to Santiago Bernabeu on October 26.

According to Catalan media reports RAC1the shirt will feature Ed Sheeran’s name or the logo of his new album “Play”. Barca kit expert @memorabilia1899 claims both designs are under consideration.

As with previous collaborations, a lifestyle collection tied to this particular shirt will likely drop, with proceeds typically going to charity, though no details have been confirmed this time around.

Sheeran – He once released a song called “Barcelona” Back in 2017 – Published “Play” On September 12, reviews were mixed.

However, if Hansi Flick’s side can beat Madrid wearing Sheeran-branded jerseys, you can bet the Catalan fans will be screaming loud (see what we did there?).
