Chelsea favorite Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink talks about one of the big debates at the club right now – how to get bright young winger Estevao more minutes in the team.
So far, the Brazilian has not been able to break the trio of Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro.
Hasselbaink wants to see a change in form to attract Estevao
“Don’t get me wrong, we’ve got three really good players for Chelsea in Pedro, Palmer and Rogers, but why don’t we have four? Can we get a fourth player? I’d like to see Estêvão on the pitch soon. I think he’s an exceptional player,” Hasselbaink said.
Jimmy echoes the sentiments of many Chelsea fans. But that’s usually not a reasonable way to go down. It would be crazy for any of the four aforementioned strikers to get just one injury to change the whole system we’ve been working on since Alonso arrived to accommodate a player, to get us back to where we are now.
Best to be patient with Estevao – he has plenty of season left to improve.
In other news…
Morgan Rogers is an exceptional player and his running stats are off the charts as are his goals and assists.
We are already thinking next weekend and players on international duty may struggle to be ready for the Bournemouth game.
