We continue to follow events Stateside for Thursday’s Tip of the Day.
For today’s offering, we’ve turned our focus from baseball to the NFL, and it’s the opening game of week five of the season.
Thursday Night Football sees the underdog Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Dallas Cowboys in Texas.
The Bucs got off to a rocky start and entered the race at 0-4 and at the bottom of the NFC South. They have lost eight of their last nine games, including the end of last season, and are winless away from home for nearly a year.
The Cowboys hit and miss, as demonstrated by their 2-2 record. They score a lot of points – only the Buffalo Bills have scored more than 122 – but they’ve struggled defensively.
That might not be a problem tonight against Bucs quarterback Jalon Daniels, who will make his second career start in place of the injured Baker Mayfield.
This has a convincing Cowboys win written all over it.
We believe Dallas has scored at least 10 points this season from running back Javonte Williams, who has contributed six touchdowns and entered the end zone at least once in four games.
Thursday’s Tip! (Odds are from bet365 and correct until 9am on Thursday 8th October)
Spread: Dallas Cowboys -10 points @ tie
Javonte Williams – Anytime Scorer at 5/12
Combined odds 8/5
A £10 stake will return £26
