England head coach Thomas Tuchel Already talked about Cole Palmer This follows his absence from the national team for the upcoming Nations League matches.
Palmer was left out of the World Cup squad this summer after an injury-plagued season, but has returned to full fitness and energy since the start of the new season.
As a result, he was recalled to the national team by Tuchel but will not feature after Palmer withdrew due to concerns about his workload.
“He missed too many opportunities, he missed too many training camps with injuries. It’s not his fault,” Tuchel said at a press conference ahead of the Nations League opener against Spain.
Palmer is not the only Englishman to quit the national team. Declan Rice Also opting out due to concerns about his hamstring.
Chelsea have had a mediocre start to the league season, picking up just seven points, and Palmer will be key to turning things around after the break.
