Thomas Frank is set for a Tottenham reunion as the Premier League boss has been sacked

Former Tottenham Hotspur coach Thomas Frank could make a surprise return to the Premier League.

The former head coach of “Tottenham” and “Brentford” Thomas Frank can return to the Premier League 8 months after being fired from “Spurs”.

According to talkSPORT, Frankie is being watched by Fulham, who are currently struggling in the bottom tier of the Premier League.

Alvaro Arbeloa is under increasing pressure after the Cottagers were beaten by newly promoted Ipswich Town at the weekend.

Fulham are winless in six Premier League games this season, picking up two points after draws with Liverpool and Manchester United.

The report claims that Frank is the leading candidate to replace Arbeloa at Craven Cottage if he fails to turn around Fulham’s decline.

The Cottagers face Hull City at home before their clash with Coventry City and two games against newly promoted sides could have a big say on his future.

Had Frank been up to the task, he would have been reunited with his old team, Spurs, on December 2 and January 6.

Arbeloa dismissed talk of being under pressure after the latest defeat, saying: “I’m never worried about my position.

“I don’t feel fear. You can’t be a coach if you feel that. You have to work and make decisions and show confidence in your players.

“For me, I’m very happy with a lot of what they’ve done. I know it’s not easy for them.

“It’s not about my position, it’s about Fulham’s position. That’s the most important thing. Obviously, it’s only 6 games, but it’s true that we need points.”

Frank has been out of work since leaving Spurs earlier this year and is said to be on a hefty salary if he returns to the Premier League. The Dane played a total of 38 games in the club, recording 13 wins, 10 draws and 15 losses.
