The Dodgers had chances to win both games, but the Brewers beat them at their own game. Milwaukee is a great team from top to bottom, with elite pitching, an above-average offense and a defense that can make plays.
More often than not, Milwaukee isn’t a self-inflicted team.
There’s something to be said for that, because the Dodgers haven’t quite been able to do the same.
As for what needs to be replaced, the Dodgers need some of their stars to get going. Whether it’s a guy like Shohei Ohtani or someone else, it’s clear things need to improve. Speaking to reporters about what happened, a Dodgers All-Star believes that there are still a lot of streaks left and it’s impossible.

“We know what we can do. We know the team we have,” left back Teoscar Hernandez told The Athletic. “There’s still a lot of streaks to go. We know they’re playing really good baseball right now. It’s going to be tough to beat them. But it’s not impossible.”
Hernandez has been one of the bright spots for the Dodgers over the past two years, playing well when it matters most.
He’s far from the Dodgers’ biggest problem right now, as he’s done everything anyone could ask of him offensively.
Now is the time for him to step up as a leader and continue to say the right things about what his team can do over the next few days.
