Decorated former England all-rounder Tammy Beaumont has signed a new two-year deal to stay with the treble-winning Blaze after retiring from international cricket.
The 35-year-old has agreed new terms with the Trent Bridge-based side just three months after calling time on his career with the national team.
He continued his international presence by helping The Blaze clean up the major trophies in 2026 after winning the T20 Blast, County Cup and One Day Cup.
His latest contract means he will play until at least 2028, which would be his 21st season in a career which began with Kent in 2007.
“I’m really excited to be here for a few more years, hopefully we’ll try to defend some of the trophies we’ve won this year,” he told the club’s website., external
Beaumont was at The Blaze after the team was renamed and moved from Loughborough in 2022, playing for the club formerly known as the Lightning.
The 2017 World Cup winner scored over 2,600 runs in 78 games across all formats for The Blaze and his predecessor.
More than 900 of those runs came in 35 games this season as he helped The Blaze to a treble of trophies in a remarkable campaign that saw him leave the international stage after 16 years.
In total, he scored over 7,300 runs for England in 140 ODIs, 109 T20s and 12 Test matches for his country.
Blaze head coach Craig Cumming said Beaumont will be an “incredibly important part” of the squad, describing him as “one of the best quality players of this generation.”
