Ravens QB Lamar Jackson did not practice Wednesday, which was considered routine

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is still dealing with an ankle injury and is considered day-to-day according to head coach Jesse Minter. Jackson did not practice Wednesday.

Jackson sprained his ankle in Week 4 in Baltimore’s 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans. After not practicing last week, he was ruled out two days before the Ravens’ overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

Head coach Jesse Minter said Monday that Jackson is improving but wants to see how the quarterback performs in practice before making a decision on his availability for Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.

With no practice on Wednesday, Jackson will have two more days of practice before receiving his weekend game assignment.

Tyler Huntley relieved Jackson in the second half of the Titans game and went 8-for-9 for 63 yards. He played all of Baltimore’s win over the Falcons, throwing for 201 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 20 yards and a touchdown.

If Jackson is unable to play against the Cleveland Browns, Huntley is expected to be back under center.

Since Jackson has been the Ravens’ full-time starter in 2019, the team has gone 7-11 in the games he has missed.

The Ravens currently lead the AFC North with a 4-1 record. After Sunday’s divisional matchup with the Browns, Baltimore will face the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars over the next three weeks.
