Portugal-Norway match preview
Portugal host Norway at the Estadio do Dragao on Sunday night to maintain their perfect start to the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League.
Jorge Jesus’ side lead A League Group 4 with nine points after the first three matches, while Norway are third with three points after back-to-back defeats.
Portugal have made an excellent start to their Nations League title defense, winning each of their first three games to take control of Group 4.
The reigning champions opened with a 1-0 win over Wales before traveling to Oslo, where they beat Norway 2-1 three days later.
Portugal then made it three wins from three with a 4-2 win away to Denmark on Thursday.
The result came at a time of considerable drama with Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the Portugal camp after falling out with Jesus ahead of the Denmark game.
And Norway comes to Portugal looking to end a two-game losing streak.
Stale Solbakken’s side started their first A-League campaign with an impressive 3-2 win over Denmark, but the results turned around.
A 2-1 defeat at home to Portugal was followed by another defeat by the same score against Wales on Thursday.
These results leave Norway third in Group 4 with 3 points, level with second-placed Denmark, but 6 behind leaders Portugal.

Team news for Portugal – Norway
After Ronaldo left the camp of the national team, Portugal will be without a team again.
Goncalo Ramos has seized the opportunity in attack, scoring in each of Portugal’s last two matches, and should retain his place against Norway.
Bruno Fernandes overcame injury concerns against Denmark and put in an excellent performance, so the midfielder should continue in the starting XI.
Jesus could still freshen up his squad after Thursday’s game, with Joao Neves and Joao Felix among those in the running to start.
Francisco Conceicao remains a doubt due to a thigh problem and will need to be evaluated before a decision is made on his availability.
Norway will have to make at least one change after Torbjorn Lysaker Heggem was sent off in the defeat to Wales.
The defender is suspended for Sunday’s game, potentially opening the door for Marcus Pedersen to slot into the back four.
Antonio Nusa and Thelo Aasgaard are among those forced into the side as Solbakken considers changes following a disappointing performance against Wales.

Portugal – Norway match prediction
Norway have enough attacking quality to make it a difficult evening for Portugal, especially with Haaland, Odegaard and Nusa among Solbakken’s options.
However, their defensive problems are proving increasingly costly, with Norway conceding twice in each of their three Nations League matches.
Portugal have coped well with the disruption surrounding Ronaldo and showed against Denmark that they still have considerable attacking quality without their record goalscorer.
