While all eight Decision Day games have the potential to affect the standings, we now know the seeding and matchups for the 2026 National Women’s Soccer League playoffs.
Up top, NJ/NY Gotham FC closed out the No. 1 seed with a 2-0 win over the Utah Royals. They will host the No. 8 Seattle Reign on Sunday, November 8 at 12:30 pm ET on ABC. The Reign defeated the Orlando Pride 1-0 on decider day, debating North Carolina’s 1-0 win over the Denver Nuggets, securing their spot as Seattle were the other two teams fighting for the final playoff spot.
Also hosting the No. 2 seed, the San Diego Wave won their last game of the season 1-0 against Bay FC, but they couldn’t get the Gotham loss they needed to take the Shield. The Utah Royals dropped even lower in the standings with their loss to Gotham and will enter the playoffs as the No. 7 seed, playing in San Diego on Friday, Nov. 6 at 10:00 PM ET on Prime Video.
The third host will be the Washington Spirit, who defeated the Chicago Stars 2-0 to maintain their place in the standings. As the No. 3 seed, they will host the No. 6 Portland Thorns on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3:00 PM ET on ABC. The Thorns won the Decision Day match against the Houston Dash 2-0.
In the final playoff quarterfinal, No. 4 Kansas City Current will host No. 5 Angel City FC on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 12:00 PM ET on CBS. Kansas City secured hosting rights with a 2-0 win over Racing Louisville, while Angel City expanded with a 4-1 victory over Boston Legacy.
