Napoli have confirmed midfielder Scott McTominay is back at the club and will begin his rehabilitation in the Napoli gym on Thursday after recently undergoing heart surgery.

McTominay has missed all of Napoli’s last four games after having minor surgery on his heart earlier this month to repair a mild benign arrhythmia.
It is understood that considering the long international match days between the end of September and the beginning of October, McTominay and the club decided to perform surgery in September to minimize the number of games the midfielder will miss.
The operation took place in the player’s hometown of Manchester on September 8 and the club confirmed he would need to rest for around two weeks.
Napoli now confirmed statement McTominay is back in Napoli and will begin personalized training in the gym on Thursday.
The Scotland international is unavailable for Sebastian Poccagnoli during the international break and will aim to be back in action in time for Napoli’s next Serie A match at home to Frosinone on October 10. They will play in the Champions League away game against Villarreal next Tuesday (October 13).
