Manchester United defender Luke Shaw He is likely to return from injury tomorrow against Brighton in the Carabao Cup third round.
The England international has been sidelined for the past few games with a minor fitness issue. He missed the games against Sabah and Manchester City Patrick Dogu Occupying the left back position.
Carrick said at the pre-match press conference that Shaw’s recent injury is progressing well and he may feature in the Red Devils’ Carabao Cup tie against Brighton at home.
Manchester United are already under tremendous pressure. They have taken just four points from as many league games and the upcoming cup tie with the Seagulls looks like a must-win game for the manager Michael Carrick.
Otherwise, his future could be in serious question, especially if United fail to beat Fulham in the Premier League at the weekend. Carrick is expected to name a strong starting XI for the game against Brighton at Old Trafford and may not make a few changes.
