Barcelona will look to reaffirm their superiority Defeat Real Madrid and top La Liga This afternoon they visit Levante.
Hansi Flick’s side have won their first four games of the Spanish season and beat Feyenoord 5-1 in the Champions League in midweek, but come into today’s game they are level on points with a Madrid side who beat Rayo Vallecano yesterday.
Levante has lost just one of its first four games, the first against Espanyol. Since then, they have drawn with Osasuna and Malaga, and defeated Real Betis 5-2.
Barcelona won this match 3-2 last season, with Hansi Flick’s side scoring an own goal in the 91st minute.
But Levante have won six consecutive games at home dating back to last season and captain Roger Brugger sees no reason why they can’t pull off a seventh consecutive victory with an upset.
“Barcelona are a great opponent and they go into this game in good shape, but we also know that we are strong at home,” Brugger told Levante’s official media channel.
“We’ve won six games in a row at home and we’re going to go there without fear, without any sense of inferiority.”
