Francesco Pio Esposito is delighted with Inter’s 3-0 win over Feyenoord, where they scored for the first time since September 14: “Goals are like oxygen”.

The Italian striker scored his second goal of the night as the Nerazzurri defeated Feyenoord 3-0 on Tuesday.

Cristian Chivu’s men bounced back quickly from a 3-1 defeat in the Serie A Milan derby a few days ago.

“It wasn’t a given. We were good at reacting like that against a tough opponent,” Pio told Sky Sport.

“We were able to come out with the right approach and take the game where we wanted.

“Obviously we analyze the defeats. We did and I’m happy that we put the words into action.”

“Inter” has collected six points in four games in the Champions League; do they still feel they can finish in the top eight?

“It’s still too long. We have to take it one game at a time, thinking we can play with everyone until the end,” Pio Esposito said.

His goal against Feyenoord was his first at club level since September 14.

“Of course, a goal is like oxygen for a striker, but I try to put the work of the team above everything and I’m happy to end my drought,” he said.
